Kansas Democrats Win Big

TOPEKA –– Last night, Kansas voters made their voices heard, leading to significant victories all across the state.

Democrats won all across Kansas. We extend a huge congratulations to all of our winners from Tuesday's elections. Voters protected our school boards from extremists backed by groups including Moms for Liberty and the 1776 Project.

Kansans rejected extreme candidates running for School Boards, City Councils, County Boards, and other key local leadership positions from moving these important boards radically to the right.

Once again, Kansans asserted that they want Democrats in office, because they stand up for our shared values. And Kansans have shown they want leaders standing in the middle.

The Kansas Democratic Party is looking forward to building on this momentum as we gear up for 2024.

“Thank you to every Democrat who put their name on a ballot to run for election. Whether you prevailed or not last night, offering yourself as a candidate to serve Kansas and your neighbors is valued and appreciated,” said Chair Jeanna Repass. “This is what democracy looks like.”
