Our web site has security measures in place to protect against the loss, misuse or alteration of the information under our control. Our servers are located in a locked, secure environment.

The online contribution and event registration form use a secure IP address, credit card processing and valid security certificate. The Kansas Democratic Party protects all sensitive data, such as personal information and credit card numbers.

How do we use the information you provide on ksdp.org?

When you create a login with ksdp.org, your email address is added to our ksdp.org web users database, which is kept for exclusive use by the Kansas Democratic Party. Weekly web site updates are emailed to ksdp.org web users notifying them of upcoming events, current forum topics and news headlines. The Kansas Democratic Party may also periodically email the ksdp.org web users database notification of special events or Party activites. Ksdp.org users may unsubscribe at any time to these emails while still maintaining full use of the site by clicking on the unsubscribe link at the end of each email.

When you make a contribution online to ksdp.org, we are required by federal law to collect your name, mailing address, occupation and name of employer and report this to the Federal Election Commission if your contributions exceed $200 in a calendar year. These records are available to the public. However, they cannot be used by other organizations for fund raising. For additional information, visit the FEC website at http://www.fec.gov. The Kansas Democratic Party keeps your name, address, email and phone number in our private database and does not share this information with any outside parties or organizations.

When you fill out one of our web surveys or opinion polls, your opinions are not linked to your email address or personal information in any way. If you voluntarily include your email address as part of a web survey you are giving the KDP permission to contact you regarding your answers to the survey.

The Kansas Democratic Party respects your privacy. We will not disclose, give, sell or rent your email address or personal information to any other organization unless you specifically authorize us.
