Rep. Julie Menghini has served in the Kansas House of Representatives since 2005. She represents the 3rd House District, which includes the city of Pittsburg in Crawford County.

Julie and her husband, Henry, reside in Pittsburg and have three children: Aria, Connor, and Dante. She is extremely dedicated to her family and is an active community volunteer. Julie is involved in the Elm Acres Foundation Board, and serves as the co-president of the Westside Elementary Parent Teacher Organization. She is a board member of the Pittsburg Area Chamber of Commerce and is a part of the Business Education Alliance Committee of the Chamber.

As a state legislator, Menghini has actively fought for reasonable cost of living adjustments for Kansas retirees. In addition, she has actively participated on the House Transportation committee to develop Kansas' next long range transportation plan. The last plan, approved in 1999, provided over $13.6 billion in infrastructure improvements and provided over 114,000 jobs in Kansas.

In addition to the House Transportation Committee, Menghini serves on the House Taxation Committee and the Elections and Governmental Organizations Committee. She also serves on the Joint Committee on Kansas Security.
