Wacko televangelist John Hagee apologized to the Catholic League for Civil and Religious rights for his comments calling the Roman Catholic Church "the great whore," "the 'anti-Christ," a "false cult system," and the "the apostate church." Hagee endorsed Senator McCain for president in February, stating:
"John McCain is a man of principle," Hagee, a televangelist and the pastor of Cornerstone Church, told reporters. "He does not stand boldly on both sides of any issue."
One might find it ironic that Hagee would have any credibility in determining the moral principles of any human being. For his part, McCain demonstrated his principles by asking Hagee for his endorsement, blaming the media for taking Hagee's words out of context, and refusing to distance himself from the evangelical. McCain has also brushed aside any comparisons between Jeremiah Wright and John Hagee.

Then email, write or call Sam Brownback and as him why he continues to lead McCain's Catholic outreach effort, despite his ties with John Hagee.
